Accessibility
Web Site and Rating
This
site
has
been
designed
to
meet
accessibility
guidelines
for
our
special
users.
We have
requested that the web designers endeavored
to incorporate as many features into this
web site as possible to enable text readers
and other software to use our site, but our
main focus has been on function rather presentation.
Whilst
image
swapping
may
be
entertaining,
we
have
added
additional
functionality
behind
these
behaviors
to
ensure
that
good
access
is
available,
although
keydown
expression
are
not
included
in
this
revision.
Whilst most
pages meet the strict standards, some pages
required manual verification to pass the necessary
tests.
As an example
the site does use colour, but not to convey
important information, we do swap images but
not to provide function, we provide a short
redirection page , but again not to prevent
access, but to redirect to the main site as
quickly as possible, the initial page is only
a holding site. Our images do not require
extended alternative texts.
The
web
developers
have
pointed
out
that
adding
the
accessibility
icons,in
themselves,
stop
the
site
being
accessible
and
have
had
to
alter
their
initial
coding
to
make
them
more
accessible,
which
in
itself,is
a
strange
irony.
The
Liverpool
Trafalgar
Group
has
outsourced
the
accessibility
confirmation
to
an
external
company
and
cannot
accept
any
issues
regarding
the
site
or
use
of
icons.

the

instance
